Mercury Ring Corporation is now the first jewelry company to receive accreditation from the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), the nation’s leading advocate of women-owned businesses as suppliers to America’s corporations.
(NEW YORK) - Mercury Ring Corporation is now the first jewelry company to receive accreditation from the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), the nation’s leading advocate of women-owned businesses as suppliers to America’s corporations. Mercury Ring Corporation president Phyllis Bergman has served for over twenty years as head of one of the oldest and most established bridal jewelry manufacturers in the United States, with more than 1,800 accounts nationwide.
“Being certified by WBENC is another achievement that I hope will empower other women in my industry to strive for increased success for both business and personal goals,” said Phyllis Bergman of her company’s certification.

As the president of Mercury Ring Corporation, Phyllis Bergman oversees all aspects of the company, including sales, design, operations, marketing, and client relations. Under her leadership, the company’s customer base has increased more than six-fold. Nearly every major board in the jewelry industry has recognized Bergman as a leader in the industry including the Women’s Jewelry Association, the 24 Karat Club of New York, and American Gem Society, to name a few.

The WBENC certification for women-owned businesses is one of the most widely recognized and respected certifications in the nation. Accepted by over 700 major corporations across the country and a number of federal and government agencies, WBENC works to foster diversity in the world of commerce with programs and policies designed to expand opportunities and eliminate barriers in the marketplace for women business owners.
