Members lauded for community leadership, customer service, design and innovation, diamond sales and jewelry knowledge
The Independent Jewelers Organization (IJO) recently announced the winners of a new awards program for its membership that recognizes excellence in five categories: community leadership, customer service, design and innovation, diamond sales and overall jewelry knowledge. It is the first time IJO acknowledged individual members in this way. The winners were announced during the IJO’s February 2008 annual conference in Colorado Springs, CO.
“We are pleased to reward members who go above and beyond the call of duty and perform with a level of effectiveness and integrity that deserves recognition,” says Jeff Roberts, IJO Chairman. The winner in each category received $1,000, a crystal trophy and award certificate. Additionally, IJO worked with each winner to publicize this notable accomplishment within their communities.
The awards categories are as follows:
Community Leadership: James Locke Jewelers, East Liverpool, Ohio
Superior Customer Service: Molinelli’s Jewelers, Pocatello, Idaho
Superlative Design and Innovation: Hart Jewelers, Grants Pass, Oregon
Best Family Diamond Store in America: Faye’s Diamond Mine, Clinton, Arkansas
Ultimate Gem and Jewelry Knowledge: Michael’s Jewelry Center, Dayton, Ohio
