Through fund-raising cycling trips, Bike & Build raises money for and awareness of affordable housing efforts.
(GAINESVILLE, Fla.) - Through fund-raising cycling trips, Bike & Build raises money for and awareness of affordable housing efforts. Its events act as a catalyst to build homes, foster the spirit of service, and empower young adults - mile-by-mile, house-by-house.

Over five seasons, Bike & Build has contributed $1,144,231 to housing groups to fund projects planned and executed by young adults. Bike & Build allocates the majority of the proceeds from events through either pre-arranged contributions or a competitive grant application process.

Designer, Bernard Reller, frequently puts his designs where his heart is and Bike & Build is an organization whose goal and method appeals all the way to his adventurous soul. Bernard’s aviator, sailor, former treasure diver mentality was touched by University of Florida graduate, Danielle Jahn who is raising money to bicycle across the USA, from Massachusetts to California. Reller donated sterling silver bicycle pendants to Ms. Jahn which she has since made available as a premium for donations to her fund raising effort.

Danielle’s ride can be followed by visiting the Bike & Build website at www.bikeandbuild.org. Her on-going blog is also accessible from the website.
