FedEx Express has further deepened the discounts it offers to MJSA members on FedEx Declared Value Exception (DVX) shipping, setting a rate that offers savings of up to 74 percent off standard list prices.
FedEx reduced the cost of its DVX service (which enables the shipping of packages with a declared value of up to $50,000) to 17 cents per $100 of declared value. In addition, it lowered the cost of international shipments to 28 cents per $100 of declared value. The reductions will save members 74 percent and 57 percent, respectively, off standard list prices for domestic and international DVX packages.
The cuts ensure MJSA members continue to receive the industry’s best rates on high-value shipping through FedEx. “Given today’s continuing economic challenges, these further rate cuts come at a very welcome time,” said MJSA President/CEO David W. Cochran. “Our members will be further able to contain costs, while maintaining the peace of mind in knowing their packages are being handled by one of the world’s best shipping companies.”
MJSA members also receive discounts of up to 43 percent on select FedEx shipping rates. In the past year, MJSA reports their members participating in the program who are high volume shippers saved an average of $5,424 on FedEx shipping.
