Signature® Engraving Systems introduces Machining Center for jewelry customers

(HOLYOKE, Mass.) - Signature® Engraving Systems, the world’s leading provider of computerized gift engravers, recently announced the introduction of the Jewelry and Name Necklace Machining Center. The apparatus easily attaches to the Signature 8080 Plus and the 8080 Super and allows users to create custom charms and name necklaces with up to 1 1⁄4 mm (.05in) thick sterling silver in under 15 minutes.

Sig-machine-NovDeveloped by Signature’s seasoned engineering team, the Machining Center uses advanced technology to cleanly carve individualized charms. The device works with the Signature software in the customer’s existing system, making the addition of the feature fast and simple.

“The new attachment is designed to help jewelers capitalize on the increasingly popular personalization market,” says Chris Parent, President and CEO of Signature Engraving Systems. “After the item has been cut, jewelers can add hand tooled accents, do a bit of polishing and deliver one-of-a-kind pieces to their customers.”

Features of the Jewelry and Name Necklace Machining Center include:

  • Sig-names-Nov
With Signature® Engraving Systems’ new engraver attachment, jewelers can create original and personalized charms and name necklaces with the same ease-of-use for which Signature is known.
Removable micro filter for easy reclamation
  • Depth adjustment with spring gauges for quick setting cutting depths
  • Nose plate for consistent engraving depth control
  • Simple one-time software and circuit board upgrade to optimize special cutting speeds and feeds required for delicate cutters

“The Machining Center provides us with the potential to expand our business and the ability to offer our customers custom designed pieces,” says Chris Grande, manager of Fast Fix Jewelry Repair in Trumbull, CT. “This new ability adds a totally new dimension to our already versatile Signature 8080 Plus.”

To request more information on the new system, please call 413-533-7500 and ask to speak to Jaime Ericksberg.
