Since interchangeable jewelry manufacturer Kameleon Jewelry first burst onto the market in 2007, they have been shipping to stores all across the USA from their headquarters in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada. Shipping mainly with FedEx Priority, Kameleon has covered all of the duties and fees associated with crossing the border between the two countries. Starting in October, Kameleon will be shipping from a new order processing center located in the US.
Kameleon President Robert Smith explains; “Kameleon has had great success these past few years and so have our retailers. We want to make sure that this continues. Our office staff is amazing and has done a wonderful job supplying and supporting our US market. However, my main concern is the success of our valued retailers. I want to do whatever we can to make sure they continue to be successful with our line. With the rising costs of shipping, and costly delays with Customs clearance, it was becoming less feasible for smaller retailers to order what they need on a regular basis. It is for this reason that we have decided to make a change in how we do business.”
With this in mind, Kameleon Jewelry has begun the process of moving their order processing division to a warehouse in the state of Maine. Orders will now be processed and shipped from this new location. Customer Service and other aspects of the business will continue to be based in Nova Scotia. This change over was slated to occur around the end of October, 2011.
Positive changes for customers:
- Lower shipping costs
- Product will not be crossing a border, eliminating customs delays
- Stock Balancing or Trunk Show returns will be sent to the Maine location, further reducing shipping costs for retailers
- Continued support and specialized attention from a larger dedicated Customer Service Team
Aspects of business that will not change:
- Toll free phone and fax numbers will not change
- All staff e-mail addresses will remain the same
- The Dartmouth office will continue to process all account payments
- Defective/damaged items will still be sent to the Dartmouth address
Kameleon Office Manager Jennifer Hardwick says: “We want to make sure that our customers have everything working for them in their road to success with the line. By moving our order processing to the Maine office we can reduce costs with shipping and issues with customs. This will also free up our Nova Scotia staff to better serve our customers with our expanded Customer Service and Media Support Teams. We plan to make the move as smooth as possible so that customers will not experience any delays with their orders.”You can contact Kameleon Jewelry at www.KameleonJewelry.com.
