Atlanta Jewelry Show SCAD Student Design Competition winners announced

(ATLANTA) - Winners of the 11th annual Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) Student Design Competition hosted by the Atlanta Jewelry Show were announced at an awards presentation held during the Show’s March edition at the Cobb Galleria Center.

Co-sponsored by Stuller, Inc., the annual competition continues the tradition of recognizing the outstanding work of SCAD’s School of Design students while also providing budding jewelry designers with an inside look at the commercial jewelry industry.

The panel of guest judges, including Barbara Heinrich, Barbara Heinrich Studio; SCAD Alumnus Liaung Chung Yen, Liaung Chung Yen Designs; and Peter Embarrato, Topaz Gallery, Atlanta, GA, further enhanced the experience for the students, offering inspiration, advice and first-hand industry experiences.

Coming full circle as a winner in the very first SCAD Student Design Competition 11 years ago, talented jewelry designer Liaung Chung Yen returned to the show as a guest judge and an exhibitor in the show’s Handcrafted Studio section.
