(NORWALK, Conn.) - With four months until the debut of JCK Las Vegas 2011 at Mandalay Bay (June 3 - June 6), JCK’s ongoing reinvention continues to be embraced by a robust list of market-leading manufacturers/suppliers and buyers representing every facet of the jewelry industry.
Many new improvements designed to enhance the JCK experience will be evident as JCK Las Vegas will present a brand new exciting show floor and expanded days for LUXURY buying (May 31 - June 6). Additional buying opportunities for Equipment, Technology & Supplies (ETS) (June 3 - 7) and AGTA have also been added (June 2 - 7). In the evening and off-hours, JCK Las Vegas’ move to Mandalay Bay will offer exciting new hotels, robust shopping, entertainment, restaurants and nightlife to explore. JCK Las Vegas 2011 will bring the domestic and international jewelry community together to shop, learn and grow their businesses.
“JCK Las Vegas 2011 will present many new and exciting improvements,” said Yancy Weinrich, Industry Vice President of JCK Events, “and going into our 20th year, we feel confident that there’s only one destination for buying, connecting and building business - and that’s JCK Las Vegas. We have created this new experience with buyers’ needs at the forefront of our thinking and planning. As a result, we believe that with the early signs of the economic recovery, robust holiday season and consumers looking to invest in a ‘sure thing,’ JCK will be the one industry event not to be missed this year.”
As a result of ongoing research into buyers’ needs, JCK has organized the show floor by product category and with several layout improvements. In 2011, JCK will be organized into the following categories: AGTA GemFair; Design; Hall of Time; Diamond Plaza; Equipment Technology & Supplies; LUXURY at JCK, World’s Fair, along with member pavilions from some 22 countries. These include: Plumb Club; Prestige Promenade and VicenzaOro Italian Club. These destinations will be strategically placed in an appropriately pleasing layout on the Mandalay Bay show floor. In addition, several new and growing product segments will make their debut on the show floor. These include: Silver, Bridal, Fashion Jewelry, and Pearls. With over 80 percent of the show floor occupying product location ‘destinations,’ buyers can now shop JCK more efficiently, conduct comparison shopping and move more effectively from location to location.
The remaining space will be dedicated to those companies who offer a mix of products, materials and collections. Over 500 are expected to occupy the general area and will showcase their collections thus enabling buyers to discover more product, better balance their inventories and seek out suppliers who can supply them with multiple choices and options.
Additionally, LUXURY, Equipment Technology & Supplies and AGTA show days will be expanded in 2011. Typically a three-day event preceding JCK Las Vegas, LUXURY will now take place for seven days and continue throughout JCK Las Vegas. This provides buyers with an intimate experience to source new, upscale, luxury collections in the famous LUXURY environment - all in one location throughout the 7 days.

Swiss Watch at JCK being held June 2 - 6 at the Four Seasons and Mandalay Bay (by appointment only) will offer buyers the best selection of time pieces from virtually every major brand. Companies such as Baume & Mercier, Tag Heuer, Harry Winston and Ulysse Nardin will debut their newest collections in 2011. Swiss Watch has also added Breitling to its roster of fine brands for the 2011 event.

While conducting ongoing research with buyers, JCK determined that being close to the show floor while enjoying the distinctive experience of a select hotel were high in priority.
