(CHICAGO) - The SMART Jewelry Show, being held April 21-23, 2012, at Chicago’s historic Navy Pier, is reporting it is selling its exhibitor booth space faster than ever before. Sales for the coming show are 40 percent ahead of where they were at this time last year.
“At the current pace of booth sales, we fully expect to have a sold out show by December for our April show,” said Jim Reed, Show Director. “At 600 booths, The SMART Jewelry Show offers the jewelry retailer a great mix of jewelry from well-known manufacturers and suppliers in a manageably sized show.”
The SMART Jewelry Show attracts independent jewelers from across the country who are looking to build upon their relationship with their current suppliers and establish new relationships for the year ahead.
The rapid rate of booth sales can partly be attributed to the show’s growing status as a key buying event on the jewelry industry calendar, and also to the high percentage of exhibitors who have had positive experiences at the SMART Show previously.
“The  show was a huge success,” said Rick Gouthro of Diamond Emotions. “We opened new accounts and wrote business that we were not expecting from key jewelers.”
