As the new arrangement of “2 Shows 2 Venues” approaches, the March 2014 HKTDC Hong Kong International Jewellery Show and the HKTDC Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem and Pearl Show are expected to draw more than 3,500 exhibitors to showcase the world of finished jewelry, diamonds, precious gemstones and pearls under two specialized platforms.

HK-crowd-NovThrilling Participation

From timeless to cutting edge, chic to luxurious, finished jewelry products will be exhibited at the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show (Mar 5-9) in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, while the Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem and Pearl Show (Mar 3-7) will be a specialized trade platform for diamonds, loose gemstones and pearls in the AsiaWorld-Expo. The arrangement offers a wider scope of exhibits on display under a streamlined setting to maximize the benefit of both exhibitors and buyers.

Both shows saw the welcome return of many of its regular participants, but there will also be fresh faces. As of now, the two shows are welcoming South Africa to form their pavilion for the first time to introduce its rich and talismanic jewelry treasures to the world. Lorna Lloyd, CEO of the Jewellery Council of South Africa believes, by leverage on the new arrangement of 2 shows 2 venues, South African jewelry will shine even further among the vast mix of global buyers: “Our National Pavilion will offer exclusivity, originality of design, prestigious quality and competitive pricing on high end product. It represents the riches and talents of our country, and our industry.”

The presence of the international group pavilions proves again the global influence of the two shows. The line-up includes Brazil, the Chinese mainland, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Spain, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, and the United States. Trade organizations’ pavilions, like the Antwerp World Diamond Centre, the Israel Diamond Institute, the Israel Export & International Cooperation Institute, the International Colored Gemstone Association, the Japan Jewellery Association, the Japan Pearl Exporters’ Association, and the Platinum Guild International, will also set up pavilions of their own at both shows.
