For the third year, Georgia Jewelers Association (GJA) has awarded scholarships to member stores and their employees. Scholarship chair, Bill Rosenfeld, Rosenfeld Jewelers, Tucker, Georgia, announced the winners at the annual GJA Convention held at Callaway Gardens, Pine Mountain, Georgia.
Winners included Dominique Sotillo, Edward-Johns Jewelers, Marietta, Monica Gutierrez, Rosenfeld Jewelers, Tucker, and Natasha Durand, Lauderhill’s Jewelers, Atlanta. Each scholarship winner will receive $500 toward GIA or AGS classes or labs.
“All of us at GJA are proud and excited to see our scholarship program grow. Started in 2012 to benefit both our member stores and the entire jewelry industry, we feel we must nurture aspiring jewelry students to help keep our industry strong,” said Rosenfeld. GJA encourages all member stores and their employees to plan now to apply for a 2015 scholarship starting January 1st. Applications may be obtained from the GJA office or online at www.georgiajewelers.org
