The 69th annual Jewelers of Louisiana Convention took place July 19 - 20  at the Westin Hotel in New Orleans, and featured a full schedule of education, entertainment, and networking opportunities for all who attended.

The opening day of the Convention provided attendees with the opportunity to participate in Sales and Management certification testing, provided by Jewelers of America. Later that evening, the Jewelers of Louisiana group enjoyed dinner at Morton’s Steakhouse, along with music, and group networking.

The Convention opened it’s second day with a breakfast buffet, followed by registration and an opportunity for attendees to vote on jewelry submitted by Louisiana jewelers for the Louisiana Jewelry Design Contest. After opening remarks from Louisiana Jewelers Association President Kevin Bennett, the Convention seminars began, with attendees enjoying presentations from David Peters, Chief Learning Officer for The Jewelry Coach; Shellie Bill of Premiere Consulting; and Stuller, Inc.

The afternoon concluded with lunch and a final seminar presentation by David Peters, followed by the announcement of the Design Contest winners and presentations to both the Associate of the Year and Jeweler of the Year.
