Jim Fiebig will be the featured speaker at the North Carolina Jewelers Association (NCJA) Holiday Seminar - Sunday, November 1, 2009. Jim will present two workshops for store owners and employees to help ready them for the holiday season.

Studies have shown that employees perform better when given the opportunity for additional training, not just because of the information received from the training. Employee performance is also enhanced by training because of their perception that the employer cares enough to provide them with the tools they need.

NCJA's morning session, "Profit from Passion with Colored Stones," is designed to instruct owners and employees how to generate more profit by turning existing colored stone inventory, and provide colored stone education, as well as give instructions for buying new inventory. Following lunch, Jim will present "Better Ways to Buy off the Street." This workshop will highlight how gold buys can be turned into opportunities for store sales.

After a long career in retail jewelry, community service, and buying gemstones abroad, Mr. Fiebig sold his successful store to help other retail jewelers realize the incredible potential for personal fulfillment and profit associated with increased colored gemstone sales. His goal is to renew the attitudes of American jewelers with his passion for gemstones. This passion is conveyed through teaching buying and selling techniques, inventory analysis, and shared personal experiences.

Registration is only $15 per member; lunch is included in the registration fee. NCJA members receive every third registration free. Registration information for the Holiday Seminar can be found on the North Carolina Jewelers Association website, www.ncjewelers.org.

The North Carolina Jewelers Association represents 300 jewelers statewide. Its mission is to provide access to meaningful educational programs and services, leadership in industry affairs and to advance high ethical and educational standards in the trade.
