6 events aim to increase retailer profitability

(LAFAYETTE, La.) - Stuller’s Bridge, which focuses on helping retail jewelers do better business, will soon kick off its sixth season.

The two-day events are filled with learning about new selling strategies, product and technology innovations, and everything jewelers need to know to keep their businesses competitive today and tomorrow, while providing an open environment to network and share. AJA, GJA to co-host annual Convention April 10 – 12

The Alabama Jewelers Association (AJA) and Georgia Jewelers Association (GJA) wish to invite all retail jewelers and vendors to the 2015 annual co-hosted Convention at Marriott’s Grand National Resort & Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail in Opelika, Alabama.

The educational program features industry super-stars, Gail Brett Levine, James Porte & Tom Weishaar. These speakers will also come together for a panel discussion on Sunday - everyone is invited to bring questions, concerns and ideas.

OJA seminar to offer sales techniques, JA certification opportunity

The Oklahoma Jewelers Association (OJA) invites retail jewelers in Oklahoma and surrounding states to attend a seminar developed to enhance sales techniques targeting today’s multiple generations of jewelry buyers.

Lynn Baldwin and Darci Aselage, two veteran retail jewelers, and sales trainers with The Edge Retail Academy, will be presenting three hours of sales concepts, impressions and assessments at the seminar, which is being held at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Oklahoma City, on Sunday, April 19th. As a team they will help jewelers - owners, managers and sales associates - identify the needs of their clients, and at the same time know how to recognize the line between being proactive and being pushy.

Jewelers for Children to honor Philippe Mellier and Scott Burger at Facets of Hope Event

Jewelers for Children (JFC) will hold their annual Facets of Hope event on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at the Mandalay Bay Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas, NV. Philippe Mellier, CEO of De Beers Group and Scott Burger, CEO of the Americas for Pandora will be honored.

The event celebrates the success of JFC’s fund raising efforts for the year, and commitments to the charity partners are announced. In 2014, more than 1,800 industry guests attended during the Las Vegas market events. Both Mellier and Burger have agreed to serve as guests of honor at the event with the responsibility of assisting JFC in raising funds to benefit children who are the victims of catastrophic illness or life-threatening abuse and neglect. Each year, prominent industry leaders are honored by the charity.

NFL legend Terry Bradshaw to present opening keynote at Conclave

(LAS VEGAS) - The American Gem Society (AGS) has announced that football legend and four-time Super Bowl champion, Terry Bradshaw, will be the opening keynote speaker for Conclave 2015 in New Orleans, LA. Bradshaw will be joined by a wide variety of renowned business leaders and innovators in this year’s lineup.
