2012 jewelry trends unveiled by JIC

Never-before-seen jewelry featured at Jewelry Information Center’s Annual Fine Jewelry Preview & Luncheon

(NEW YORK) - With Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week quickly approaching, Jewelry Information Center (JIC) – the consumer education arm of Jewelers of America (JA) – unveiled its top jewelry picks for 2012, comprised of more than 120 pieces, at its Annual Fine Jewelry Preview and Luncheon on August 24, in New York. The event was held in conjunction with partners American Gem Trade Association, Cultured Pearl Association of America, Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company, Platinum Guild International USA and World Gold Council.


Miami Beach Antique Jewelry & Watch Show set for October 14-16

GIA Carlsbad Jewelry Career Fair is October 21

(CARLSBAD, Calif.) – The GIA (Gemological Institute of America) Jewelry Career Fair and Open House will be held at the Institute’s Carlsbad world headquarters on October 21. The gem and jewelry industry’s eminent recruiting event will include panel discussions, career coaching, on-site recruiting, classroom workshops and exhibits.

Jewelers Educational Conference 2012 set

(SHAWNEE MISSION, Kan.) - The Jewelers Educational Conference and Show (JEC) will be held March 16-18, 2012 in Overland Park, Kansas.

The theme for the 2012 conference is Right Next Door and will focus on the particular needs of smaller retailers. The conference is limited to 200 retailer attendees and 50 suppliers.

Couture 2011 receives enthusiastic response from both exhibitors and retailers

(NEW YORK) – Couture wrapped up it’s 2011 event on June 6th in Las Vegas with the industry feeling an overall sense of well being and showing a return to growth and prosperity. Retailers were energized about the designs they were seeing and happy to spend time in the rarefied atmosphere of Wynn Las Vegas, and exhibitors were enthusiastic about the traffic in their salons and ballrooms.
