Dealers from across the globe to unveil unique collections at Miami Beach Antique Jewelry & Watch Show

(MIAMI) - For more than two decades, U. S. Antique Shows, a leading producer of indoor antique shows, has hosted the Miami Beach Antique Jewelry & Watch Show. This year’s show marks its 21st year with a return to the Miami Beach Convention Center on Oct. 25-27, 2013, showcasing a stellar array of antique, vintage and estate jewelry and watch collections to those in attendance.

24 Karat Club Southeastern US holds 39th annual Banquet

(ATLANTA) - The 24 Karat Club Southeastern United States (SEUS) hosted its 39th annual black-tie Banquet at the elegant Atlanta Country Club on August 3rd. The elite event was well attended with over 200 leaders of the jewelry industry and their guests enjoying an evening of networking and recognition. 

The night’s festivities began with the 24 Karat Club President’s Reception attended by Club officers and directors, new members and the evening’s honorees. All members and guests then enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at a pre-dinner cocktail party.

JIS’ October Jewelry Show rapidly filling up

(MIAMI Beach, Fla.) - According to Jewelers International Showcase (JIS) officials, as their October 3 - 6 Miami Beach Show is fast approaching, “the industry is rushing to secure their booth spaces and prepare their lines to meet and do business with thousands of trade only buyers from Latin America, the Caribbean and the USA.”

With many of the exclusive pavilions at JIS already sold out, including the industry’s first Brands Pavilion, the high-end Jewelry Galleria Pavilion, and the JIS hosted Hong Kong Pavilion, this October looks to be an exciting jewelry event.

GIA’s New York Jewelry Career Fair draws more than 800 to the Javits Center

(NEW YORK) - Top names in the gem and jewelry industry ushered in the next generation of professionals on July 29 at GIA’s (Gemological Institute of America) New York Jewelry Career Fair at the Javits Center. There was no shortage of opportunity for the more than 800 aspiring industry professionals, GIA students, companies and industry leaders at the event, with 44 recruiters on-site looking to fill hundreds of positions - from retail sales and jewelry design to diamond grading and production.

AGS hosts 12th annual Circle of Distinction

(NEW YORK) – The American Gem Society (AGS) hosted its 12th annual Circle of Distinction Dinner on July 30 at the historic Plaza Hotel in New York City.

Beryl Raff, Chairman and CEO of Helzberg Diamonds, was the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award. The Triple Zero Award recipients were Howard Hauben, CEO of Centurion, and The Bromberg Family: Frank Bromberg, Jr., Ricky Bromberg, Clayton Bromberg of Underwood Jewelers (Florida) and Bromberg Jewelers (Alabama).
