Rapaport International Diamond Conference

(NEW YORK) - The Rapaport International Diamond Conference (IDC) will take place Thursday, October 21st, 2010 at The Times Center, New York. The one day conference held annually in New York City is renowned for identifying the important trends in the diamond industry. The topics of this year’s conference will be “Diamond Demand” and “Human Rights and the Diamond Industry – The Way Forward.”

GemJammin’ Tucson 2011 comeback date set

The American Gem Trade Association (AGTA) is pleased to announce the return of GemJammin’ in conjunction with the 2011 AGTA GemFair™ Tucson. Back by popular demand, this open-to-all trade professionals music jam, is a benefit for Jewelers for Children. The event will be held at The Hut in Tucson on February 3, 2011, from 8 pm until the last lingering note fades in the early morning hours.  Participation and attendance is open to all members of the gem, mineral and jewelry industries.

Arizona Global Gem & Jewelry Show at The Hotel Arizona

For 28 of the last 33 years there has been a strong wholesale Gem & Jewelry Show at The Hotel Arizona. For 15 of those years the person responsible for all booth sales and show set up was Ron Swanson, managing partner of Arizona Global Gem & Jewelry Show.

JANY Show kicks off buying season with new designers, Show features and programs

(NEW YORK) –  From July 25th - July 28th, the Jewelers of America New York (JANY) Summer show was held at the Jacob K. Javits Center. Over 900 exhibitors from around the world displayed their finest jewelry to the thousands of retailers in attendance.  The JANY Show was the place to be for jewelry insiders to preview never-before-seen jewelry, browse exciting specialty pavilions, attend the super-charged educational program, and participate in on-site networking opportunities.  Ten talented new designers debuted their collections and the 33rd Annual Mort Abelson New Designer of The Year Award winner was named.   Additionally, four exhibitors were recognized for their outstanding marketing campaigns and were honored with the Golden Apple Award.

Miami Beach Antique Jewelry & Watch Show coming in October

The Miami Beach Antique Jewelry & Watch Show will be held at the Miami Beach Convention Center October 15 – 17, 2010.

Leading Jewelers Guild embraces new mission statement at July Meeting & Show

Stakeholders meet to discuss changes in the organization’s role in their future success

(NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.) — Members of Leading Jewelers Guild (LJG), a prestigious member-owned jewelry organization of independent retailers, assembled at the Island Hotel in Newport Beach, CA for their 52nd annual July Meeting and Show from July 10th to 14th.
