Increased attendance caps off a stellar 2011 Conclave

(LAS VEGAS) - Maybe it’s a sign that the jewelry industry is feeling more positive about the economy; or maybe it was the top-caliber line-up of speakers and programs. Whatever the reason, the American Gem Society (AGS) is pleased to report that the 2011 Conclave saw a 10% increase in attendance, and one thing is certain - the event drew record praise from the membership.

Jewelry Designers Organization to offer Design Seminars for retail jewelers

(WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.) – A new seminar series, “Jewelry Design for the Retail Jeweler,” offers retail jewelers the opportunity to upgrade the value they offer to customers and improve their business at the same time. The two-day seminars are being offered by the Society of American Jewelry Designers, and will be led by the society’s founder, Jack Van Dell, a fine jewelry designer with more than 40 years of experience.

Jewelry retailers who attended the AGS JIC Co-Branded Fashion Show mingled and perused jewelry on display by participating sponsors.

(NEW YORK) - The Select Jewelry Show is pleased to announce the addition of the Texas Jewelers Association to Select’s Dallas Event at the Ritz Carlton Hotel on September 11th and 12th of this year.

Jewelry Information Center partners with AGS at Conclave 2011 Fashion Show

(SAN FRANCISCO) – Jewelry Information Center (JIC), the consumer education arm of Jewelers of America (JA), partnered with the American Gem Society (AGS) in a first-ever co-branded jewelry fashion show on April 27, at the Westin St. Francis during AGS Conclave 2011.  The Supplier Fashion Show and Showcase Reception kicked off the four-day educational and networking conference with more than 400 retailers in attendance.

JCK Events successfully moves to Mandalay Bay offering an enhanced experience

(LAS VEGAS) - JCK Events concluded with a positive review for the new and enhanced experience at Mandalay Bay. Preliminary numbers indicate a double digit (16%) increase in attendance with over 20,000 buyers representing every retail and distribution channel, including over 600 VIP retail stores. International participation increased with the largest concentration coming from Australia, Brazil, Canada, Hong Kong, India, Mexico, Russia, Thailand, & the UK.

Jewelers for Children celebrates 13 years with Diamond Honorees and Platinum Charity Representatives

On June 5, 2011, Jewelers for Children (JFC) held the 13th Annual Facets of Hope event in Las Vegas, newly relocated to the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.  The charity announced that more than $3 million had been raised to support their charity partners in the year ahead.
