Collected Concepts to create Holiday Area for Smart Show

The Dallas Show’s Holiday Idea Center will feature best-of-best retailer practices for the holidays

(Michigan) - SmartWork Media, organizers of The Smart Jewelry Show Dallas, have contracted retail consulting firm Collected Concepts to develop a Holiday Idea Center. The 3,000-square-foot exhibition area will feature best-of-best retailer practices for the holiday season at SmartWork Media’s new September trade show.

One of the main goals of The Smart Jewelry Show Dallas (September 8 - 10, with educational conferences beginning on September 7) is helping retail jewelers prepare for the biggest selling season of the year, with the Holiday Idea Center a central part of this objective. This exhibition area will feature relevant and actionable content for just about every conceivable retailer practice during the Christmas season, from pre-holiday activities starting early in the fourth quarter to ramp up customer interest, to after-Christmas events and after-sales follow-up that will keep jewelry stores at top-of-mind awareness with customers into the new year.

The five main sections that will establish the content framework for the Holiday Idea Center include: Holiday Ad Ideas; Holiday Party Ideas; Holiday Promotions; Holiday Trimmings (Christmas cards to visual merchandising); and, Training the Elves (effective sales training). Under each of these main sections will be a number of related topics and support sections to give retail jewelers an immersive experience into creative, proven, and effective holiday practices and strategies.

Similar to The Smart Jewelry Show Chicago’s Town Square, the Holiday Idea Center will be located opposite the Dallas Show’s main entrance in the back of the exhibition showroom. The Holiday Idea Center will have designated areas for each of the five main holiday learning stations. As show attendees enter each of the Holiday Idea Center’s stations, they’ll be able to shop around for best-of-best holiday ideas in a full range of multimedia presentations that will appeal to all the senses, from attention-getting videos and live demonstration stations, to seasonal scents and tasty treats.

“The Holiday Idea Center will feature the best, most creative ideas from retailers around the country, presented in ways that will educate and entertain,” says The Smart Jewelry Show Dallas director Jim Reed. “The area will be a concentrated form of the type of inspired and proven holiday practices SmartWork Media is known for in InStore and InDesign seasonal lead stories. Add this to the many ideas coming from Collected Concepts’ vast number of retail jeweler contacts, and the industry manufacturers and service providers they work with, and the Holiday Idea Center will take retailers’ Christmas season from good to great.”

“Collected Concepts is honored to have such a key role in developing content and presentation stations for the Holiday Idea Center, the most innovative Christmas retail practices trade show exhibition area of its kind in the industry,” says the retail consulting firm’s president Nick Failla.
