(NEW YORK) - Jewelers for Children (JFC), the jewelry industry’s charity, is pleased to announce the election of five new directors. Patrick Drummond of Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company, Dan Mawicke of Richemont North America, Carol Pennelli of David Yurman, Sushil Goyal of 925 Sterling, and Bobby Wilkerson of Wilkerson and Associates were unanimously elected to the board at a meeting held on January 9, 2010.

“We are so fortunate to be able to add these folks to our board and continue to expand the support that Jewelers for Children receives from such a diverse cross-section of our industry,” said Ed Bridge, chairman of the board of JFC.  “Patrick, Dan, Carol, Sushil and Bobby all bring a unique perspective to the charity and their input and efforts on behalf of JFC will be invaluable.”

Jewelers for Children was founded in 1999 by the U.S. jewelry industry with the mission of helping children in need. Since its inception, JFC has donated nearly $32 million to programs benefiting children whose lives have been affected by illness, abuse, or neglect.
