Kurt Steckbeck, President of North American Jewelers, recognizes the value of having a presence with the independent jewelry store owner. “Our Chicago and India based factories produce high quality jewelry, catering to the specific requirements of our independent jewelry customer base. I wanted to hire someone with retail experience at the independent level to lead our sales, merchandising and marketing efforts.”

Steckbeck believes in Scott Knorzer he has hired just the man for the job. Knorzer brings 30 years jewelry experience to the table, the first 15 years as a jewelry buyer and director of marketing at the national chain, Sterling Jewelers.  For the past 15 years, Knorzer has been a territory sales manager in the Midwest for companies including Ostbye and Anderson, Price Point Marketing and Ashi Diamonds.

During the past 12 months, Knorzer managed a progressive retail store in Ohio with many designer lines. “It was this experience that most intrigued me,” said Steckbeck. “I wanted someone that has lived the life of a retail jeweler and knows what is needed to be successful in developing programs that make sense to the jewelry store owner.
