Lewis Jewelers celebrates 30th anniversary

Webster, TX-based Lewis Jewelers turned back the hands of time as they took guests back to 1981 in celebration of 30 years in business. Sequins, ruffles, shoulder pads and big hair were en vogue for Dynasty Diamonds, Lewis Jewelers’ 30th Anniversary Celebration.

Over 500 guests attended and helped to raise over $26,000 benefitting the Renal Center at Texas Children’s Hospital.

According to Chief Merchandising Officer, Danny Clark, her hire illustrates the prime manufacturer’s dedication to creating superior jewelry products and services for the independent retail jeweler.

IGI expands its staff of professional gem & jewelry appraisers

Scott Friedman achieves Master Gemologist Appraiser® status

(NEW YORK) – The International Gemological Institute (IGI) is proud to announce Scott Friedman, director of business development, has earned the Master Gemologist Appraiser® (MGA) accreditation from the American Society of Appraisers (ASA). ASA’s MGA certification mark is the highest designation in the gems and jewelry appraisal profession. Friedman joins IGI President and CEO Jerry Ehrenwald and IGI’s Quality Insurance Director Ed Kordimany as Accredited Senior Members, and Ed Kordimany as MGA.

Exciting changes happening at Kameleon Jewelry

Since interchangeable jewelry manufacturer Kameleon Jewelry first burst onto the market in 2007, they have been shipping to stores all across the USA from their headquarters in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada. Shipping mainly with FedEx Priority, Kameleon has covered all of the duties and fees associated with crossing the border between the two countries. Starting in October, Kameleon will be shipping from a new order processing center located in the US.
