Mid-States Recycling announces alliance with Jay Kantor/Mined Right Inc.

(CHICAGO) - Mid-States Recycling & Refining is proud to announce a business alliance with Jay Kantor, of Mined Right Inc. With a new office within MSR EXPRESS, Mid-States’ downtown Chicago location, Mined Right provides a very competitive secondary market diamond-buying service both for Mid-States’ customers and Chicago’s jewelry trade. It also provides centralized access to clients across North America.


TIJT student receives watchmaking scholarship

The combined efforts of a charitable trust and foundation has led to the awarding of a scholarship to David Kellar, of Plano, TX, a student at Paris Junior College’s Texas Institute of Jewelry Technology (TIJT). Kellar resides in Paris while he completes his Associate Degree in Applied Science in horology.

The Harold J. and Marie Borneman Greenwood Memorial Fund of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation made a donation of $5,000 to the American Watchmakers-Clockmakers Institute ELM Charitable Trust to provide scholarships for students studying watchmaking and watch repair.

Centurion’s Barri Singer promoted to National Sales Manager

(MERRICK, N.Y.) - Centurion has announced the promotion of Barri Singer from Account Executive to National Sales Manager. Members of the sales team will report to Singer, who will report to president Howard Hauben.

Singer joined the group in 2012 and has been part of Centurion’s successful team working on booth, sponsorship and advertising sales, as well as assisting invited retail jewelers in making their show attendance plans for Centurion, Centurion South Beach and the Select By Centurion shows.

New appointment strengthens Endless Jewelry’s global marketing team

Endless SeptEndless Jewelry has appointed Mikkel Berg as global Chief Marketing Officer. Having worked primarily in the jewelry industry, Berg brings an abundance of business and marketing experience to Endless. Most recently, he held the position of CEO at Danish jewelry brand Julie Sandlau, and prior to that was global CMO at PANDORA.

Industry veteran David L. Haverly joins White Pine Trading as Regional Sales Manager

(NEW YORK) - White Pine Trading LLC (“White Pine”), one of the world’s largest recycled diamond and jewelry companies, announced that industry veteran David L. Haverly has joined the company’s national sales team as regional sales manager with responsibility for several southern states.  In his new role at White Pine, Haverly will serve retailers in Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky, and parts of Florida.
