Synchrony Financial and The Jewelry Exchange extend decade-long consumer financing relationship

(STAMFORD, Conn. & TUSTIN, Calif.) - Synchrony Financial, a premier consumer financial services company with 80 years of retail heritage, has announced a multi-year extension of its agreement to continue providing a private label credit card financing program for The Jewelry Exchange, a direct diamond importer with 16 U.S. locations.


Rembrandt Charms announces additions to sales team

(WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y.) - Rembrandt Charms is pleased to announce the addition of Account Executives Caroline Bonalsky and Jennifer Urbaniak to its sales team. The company also welcomes Maria Tracy as a Regional Account Manager.

Bonalsky comes to Rembrandt Charms from Florida where she worked with a fragrance distributor, managing Bvlgari, Hermès and Beaute Prestige International brands in the Caribbean. She also holds ten years of retail management experience.

Endless opens first mono-brand store, hosts Mega Event

DCA announces new Board of Directors

DCA(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) - At its annual meeting in Las Vegas the Diamond Council of America’s (DCA) Board of Directors created a new lineup for itself. Bill Luth (Zale Division of Signet Jewelers) was elected Chairman of the Board. Pete Engel (Fred Meyer Jewelers) became Vice President, Steve Velasquez (Bailey, Banks, and Biddle) became Secretary/Treasurer, and Bud Fluty (Absolute Brilliance) moved to the position of Past Chairman.

Tony Lum (Michael Hill) and Emma Ward (Signet Jewelers UK) joined the Board as new members, while Dan Casanova (Riddle’s Jewelry), Todd Chandler (Helzberg Diamonds), Chuck Kuba (Iowa Diamond), Kate Peterson (Performance Concepts), Darrell Warren (Stuller), and Josh Weinman (Firestar Diamond) continued their service as DCA Directors.

Padgett elected President of NC Jewelers Association

Padgett JulyThe North Carolina Jewelers Association (NCJA) announced that Brad Padgett, an independent jeweler and native of Jacksonville, North Carolina, is the new president of the statewide association. His two-year term of office as the organization’s president began May 16.

Padgett graduated with a B.S.B.A. in Business Administration from East Carolina University.  After working in his family’s business and various capacities for a regional jewelry chain, Padgett opened his own store - Bradley’s Jewelers - in July 2005.
