Jewelers for Children announces 2009 Hope for the Holidays Program

Jewelers for Children (JFC) the industry's charity, has unveiled their 2009 Hope for the Holidays program. The program includes holiday greeting cards, an honor donation program, and contribution cards and inserts. All elements of the program have been produced from artwork created by children representing JFC's charity partners.

JFC-OctThis year's program features three holiday card designs drawn by children representing St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the National CASA Association. A new design for the contribution recognition cards has also been introduced featuring a happy snowman drawn by 13 year-old St. Jude patient Currie.

"The Jewelers for Children holiday cards are a terrific way for us to send holiday greetings. Not only do we get to showcase our support for JFC, but we help to raise the visibility of the charity," said Ulrich Wohn, President of Tag-Heuer, North America.

In lieu of traditional holiday greetings, members of the jewelry industry can send holiday cards showing their support for the charity. There are also contribution recognition cards that can be purchased with a donation to JFC and sent to special contacts on everyone's holiday list. Contribution card inserts are available as an option for use with any holiday card. (Image right: One of three cards available from Jewelers For Children.)

Sheryl Silberg, Director of Marketing for Diamond Direct said: "For the past three years we have used the JFC donation card program. It's a great way for us to show our appreciation to our customers and support such an important cause at the same time. Our retail customers like it too. We have also heard comments back noting how good they feel when they receive their card and see that a gift in their name is helping a child in need.

"The program could not be easier to use, we simply send a list of the people we want to get cards and JFC takes care of the rest. I highly recommend the program to anyone looking for a solution for their holiday gift-giving needs."

Honor donation programs are conducted by a number of companies in the industry who send letters to their customers and suppliers asking that in lieu of holiday gifts, a donation be made in their honor to JFC. The honor donation program can be utilized by anyone in the industry to easily complete their gift-giving for the season and support children in need. JFC provides suggested language for a letter and customized donation forms.

Information on purchasing holiday cards, contribution cards and inserts, and the honor donation program can be found on JFC's website at www.jewelersforchildren.org, or by calling 212-687-2949.
