(ANTWERP, Belgium) – The International Gemological Institute (IGI) has announced its worldwide website, www.igiworldwide.com, now includes a Chinese language option.
As China has become the second largest market for diamonds, leaders at IGI felt it vital to ensure information was available to industry players in their native language. In addition, being a relatively new and burgeoning market, the demand for diamond education is high. Site visitors will be able to access myriad educational offerings through IGI’s School of Gemology, as well as opportunities to register for courses online.
The site, which was relaunched in 2010, now supports IGI’s presence in China, including its School of Gemology and laboratories in Shanghai and Hong Kong.
IGI also wanted to ensure the large Chinese communities in the U.S., Canada and around the world could access the “Everything You Always Wanted to Know” section of the site, which includes comprehensive educational pages on the importance of certification, the 4Cs, buying with confidence, jewelry care tips and a glossary of common fine jewelry terms, among others.
IGI, established in 1975, is the world’s largest independent grading laboratory, with offices and laboratories in 18 locations around the globe. IGI is an ISO accredited worldwide organization. For additional information, please visit www.igiworldwide.com.
