Dr. Kovel, owner of Kovel Collection, has announced the hiring of industry veteran Chuck Curran who will join the company and represent the Kovel Collection from Maryland to Georgia. Curran brings a wealth of experience and skill in sales and marketing to augment this growing company.
Curran, based in Charlotte, N.C., has 40 years experience serving independent jewelers. He will be joining the Kovel crew and working directly with Marie Cohen, their coordinator for the East Coast region to service existing accounts and open new accounts to the Collection.
There is both a Nautical/Island Kovel Collection and an Inland Nature theme of designs like honey bees and owls and frogs. The colorful Collection is cast in silver with natural gemstones and abalone mother of pearl from sustainable harvest. It features rhodium overlay to prevent tarnish.
Kovel Collection is currently sold in a broad range of shops from mom and pop jewelers to jewelry design galleries.
The company gives back part of it’s profits to mangrove restoration, sea turtle preservation, Florida Keys coral reef preservation, and other small local groups.
Dr. Kovel is working with Reef.org, an Environmental Education Foundation based in the Florida Keys to try to limit the lion fish spread invading the coral reefs of the US.
