(BRIDGEPORT, Conn.) - Gesswein is proud to unveil one of its newest products - the new PUK04 Welder. This welder features an all new design incorporating the best of the previous models along with cutting edge electronics for simplified operation.  Touchscreen display leads the operator quickly and easily to the desired welding result.

Metal (gold, silver, platinum, etc.) is selected first, followed by the actual welding scenario or geometry such as “thin sheet,” “welding on an angle,” “apply welding wire,” etc.  With these pre-settings the various welding curves, the energy curve and any high frequency overlapping of pulses are set in advance and the recommended settings for the welding performance and time are implemented.  The display also shows recommended setting ranges, within which the operator can adjust the output and time requirements. Personal device settings and individual welding parameters can be programmed and saved.

An expert mode is incorporated into PUK04 so the experienced welder can choose between various energy curves and store these with his/her individual settings for output and time.  Expert mode also includes additional operating levels.
