(DARTMOUTH, Nova Scotia) - Kameleon Jewelry is proud to introduce a new series of JewelPops aimed at giving back - the Karma Collection. Ready to be introduced in late March, each Karma Pop sold will help an organization called KLEO – Karen Learning and Education Opportunities. KLEO is a registered charity that assists young ethnic Karen people of Northern Thailand who face economic, social and language barriers. KLEO’s goal is to support and empower these young people through education in their journey to successful, independent lives.
Five dollars from the sale of each Karma Pop will be donated to KLEO. The funds will be used to support Jen’s House, a residence in Thailand which enables students living in remote villages to complete their middle and high school education in good quality Thai schools. KLEO provides financial support, as well as emotional support for those who go on to pursue post secondary education. In 2012, 25 students were living at Jen’s House. KLEO also works in remote Karen mountain villages providing humanitarian support (such as clothing, eyeglasses and first aid supplies) and assisting where it can in village schools.
“I have been working with Thai jewelry manufacturers for over 20 years and am very excited about JewelPop’s new relationship with KLEO and the opportunity to give back to our world community and the amazing people of Thailand,” said Bob Smith, President of JewelPop, Inc.
Now when you change your JewelPops, you can also change a life!
