Still time to participate in JA’s Cost of Doing Business survey

Jewelers of America (JA), the national trade association for businesses serving the fine jewelry marketplace, opened its annual benchmarking survey of retail jewelers, the Cost of Doing Business survey, on April 14. Retailers are encouraged to take the survey, which informs JA’s comprehensive Cost of Doing Business Report. Retailers who complete the survey receive a valuable customized Performance Analysis Report with comprehensive comparisons of the jeweler’s financial data against industry averages to help identify how to improve store performance and profits. JA is asking retail jewelers to visit www.profitplanninggroup.com/jewel, to participate in the survey that will be open through May 12.

To encourage participation, Jewelers of America will be giving away giving away $2,000 in cash incentives. During the four week survey period, all retailers that complete the survey will be entered into a sweepstakes where $500 a week will be raffled off.

The survey’s results are published in JA’s Cost of Doing Business Report, with comprehensive survey results and industry data trends. Along with the Performance Analysis Report, survey participants will receive a free copy (a $199.95 value) of the Report when it is published.

For convenience, there are three ways to complete the confidential survey: online, via an Excel document or a printable PDF. All of these options can be completed by the jeweler, their accountant or financial planner. Retail jewelers should visit www.profitplanninggroup.com/jewel to participate.
