(NEW YORK) - JA New York has announced that the dates for their 2015 Winter Show will be moved from March to January 18 - 20, 2015. The new show dates reflect a need within the industry to create a stand alone show that won’t overlap with any other trade event. JA New York decision makers also feel the new timing of the show will be beneficial for retailers after what’s expected to be a prosperous holiday selling season.
“As always, we remain committed to doing what’s best for the industry as a whole and, more specifically, for our customers,” noted Drew Lawsky, Group Show Director for JA New York. “With other trade events competing with our original March dates, we adjusted our dates to accommodate our customers’ schedules and quell any concerns they may have about making a difficult decision regarding what show(s) to participate in or trying to be in two places at once.”
The new January dates will make the JA New York Winter Show the first show of the post-holiday show season, allowing retailers a prime opportunity to see new product from exhibitors immediately following their selling season and replenish their cases in time for Valentine’s Day. Additionally, by maintaining a three day show, the JA New York Winter Show will remain convenient for both exhibitors and retailers who are allowed limited time away from their stores and offices.
