(NEW YORK) - Jewelers of America (JA), the national trade association for businesses serving the fine jewelry marketplace, has found another way to help retail jewelers maximize profits through its new Buyer Discount Program, which offers JA Retail Members discounts on merchandise orders at select jewelry trade shows. Following a successful launch at the SMART Jewelry Show in Chicago, which had more than 60 Participating Exhibitors, the JA Buyer Discount Program was again featured at JCK Las Vegas, and will be available at the JA New York Show July 27-29.
JA Retail Members receive discounts on finished jewelry, on loose diamonds, and other services and tools from participating trade show exhibitors. Sample discounts range from 3-5% up to 7-20% depending on the exhibitor’s promotion. “At Jewelers of America we are always striving to find new ways to help our members become more profitable,” says JA Director of Membership and Sales Matthew Tratner. “By shopping with just one participating vendor, a retailer can easily save more than the cost of their annual JA membership dues.”
The Program is open to all exhibitors; those who participate attract more business from Jewelers of America Members. JA Retail Members own and operate more than 3,200 companies – with more than 10,000 storefronts – and are considered among the most professional jewelry retailers in the U.S. as they sign an annual Code of Professional Practices. Exhibitors can enroll in the program by filling out the Exhibitor Participation Form.
