On December 15th, Gesswein marked a century of supplying precision tools and equipment to their customers with a grand 100th Anniversary and Holiday Celebration. “The outstanding support of our vendors and customers made it possible to reach this milestone,” said Ken Geriak, Gesswein Sales, Marketing and e-Commerce manager.
Vice President, Greg Gesswein, opened the festivities by commenting on the distinctiveness of being a fourth generation family business celebrating 100 years of service.
Gesswein now includes a 40,000 square foot facility in Bridgeport, CT, manufacturing facilities in Old Saybrook, CT, and a strong international presence in Canada, Thailand, and India. The leaders of Gesswein in Canada (David and Keith Ambtman), Thailand (Sarote Sratongtuan), and India (Kaushal Khetan) attended the event highlighting the company’s growth into markets all over the world. Gesswein now offers over 10,000 high quality products with same day shipping in their recently published “100 Year” catalog and their customer friendly interactive website.
The anniversary celebration continued with speeches commemorating the 100 year achievement. Scott Petrillo, Vice President of Sales, Dan Dacosta, former Vice President of Sales, and John Harsh, Chief Operating Officer, highlighted important moments from the past and exciting plans for the future. Roger H. Gesswein, Jr., Chairman, and Dwight W. Gesswein, President and CEO, were honored for their strong leadership.
Gesswein is proud to note that four current employees have loyally served with Gesswein for 35 years or more. Distinguished service awards were presented to all employees with 5, 10, 20, 25, or 35 years experience helping and sharing their expertise with customers.
“We thank everyone for helping us reach this momentous milestone and look forward to providing you with excellent service and products to address all your needs into our second century of business,” said Geriak.
