“This was a really strong show for us,” said Drew Lawsky, Group Show Director for JA New York. “Not only did we see an increase in attendance, but retailers were there to place orders and buy. There was a positive feel throughout the show floor all three days of the show.”
Many exhibitors experienced a surge in sales as a result of attending retailers’ “ready to buy” attitudes. One aspect that may have contributed to this is the timing and new later dates of this year’s Winter 2010 Show. “I come to JA New York to find new and unique trends, I can always find that here!” said David Tahnazian, President of T & T Jewelers,
Jeweler and designer Ray Griffiths commented, “I have been participating in JA New York for several years and this year’s Winter Show is great! I love the new time slot and feel that it gives retailers more time to assess their post-holiday inventory, and they are coming to the show ready to shop.”
Some of the Winter 2010 Show highlights included special events, educational seminars and daily Happy Hours on the show floor which gave exhibitors and retailers a chance to interact in a social, friendly environment. The educational seminars were particularly strong at JA New York Winter 2010 with topics ranging from online marketing and social media to inventory strategies for 2010.
“I love attending JA New York for the educational seminars to gain new and relevant ideas and strategies as a jewelry retailer,” said Hawk Levy, Owner of St. Lucie Jewelry.
While the Winter Show kicked off 2010 with a great start, JA New York looks to continue to help exhibitors and retailers stay competitive, relevant, and successful throughout the rest of the year and beyond. Excitement for the Summer 2010 Show is already in full swing, taking place July 25th- 28th.
