Jewelers Mutual offers enhanced workmanship coverage

(NEENAH, Wisc.) - Accidents at the bench happen all too quickly. Responding to this need, Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company has enhanced its Workmanship Coverage for jewelers throughout the United States, reduced rates, and offered additional options for limits and deductibles so jewelers can customize the coverage to their needs.

Workmanship Coverage insures damage that occurs while the insured jeweler, an employee, or an independent contractor is working on consumers’ jewelry, whether at the insured jeweler’s store or at another location.

“Virtually every jeweler who works on customers’ jewelry needs this important coverage,” comments Patrick Drummond, vice president of Sales & Marketing for Jewelers Mutual. “This coverage gives jewelers peace of mind, whether your business offers basic services, such as cleaning jewelry and changing watch batteries, or more comprehensive bench work, such as retipping prongs, resizing rings, and resetting stones.”

For trade and repair shops, the coverage applies to consumers’ jewelry from another jewelry business, as well as consumer jobs taken in at the shop. This coverage does not protect business-owned merchandise or property of others in the jewelry trade. Workmanship Coverage is available as an addition to Jewelers Mutual’s Jewelers Block and Jewelers Standard policies.
